Abstract


The stages of the ultrawideband (UWB) technology evolution are discussed, the basic concepts and definitions are given. The modern classification of UWB signals is given, too. The place of the UWB signals and processes in the radio physics and radio electronics is shown. Different models of UWB signals and processes are considered, their advantages and disadvantages discussed. The basic description methods for the UWB signals and processes are given.
