Low-Noise Submillimeter Coherent Receiver Systems (State-of-the-Art and Development Trends)

Abstract


The state-of-the-art and development trends for the low-noise coherent receiver systems for the e. m. wavelengths shorter than 1 mm are analyzed. The major peculiarities of cohernt mixer reception systems, such as those employing SIS mixers, semiconducting and superconducting HEB mixers and Schottky mixers, are considered.
