Solar Efforts of the Institute of Radio Astronomy NAS–Ukraine

Abstract

The experimental and theoretical results of the research of solar radio emission at the decameter wavelengths yielded for about forty years first at the radioastronomy departments of the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics of the UkrSSR Acad. Sci., later at the Institute of Radio Astronomy NAS–Ukraine, are described. The world-largest radiotelescope UTR-2 (Hrakove, IRA NASU) allows to observe the Sun with the best time and frequency resolution and record sensitivity which efforts an opportunity of finding the unique data in investigating the known phenomena and of discovering the new ones. The results are widely represented in the world-authoritative scientific journals and are recognized among scientists worldwide.
