Small Surface Object Spatial Discrimination in Sea Clutter

Abstract

The principal possibility for using the spatial periodicity of the signal returned by the sea surface to improve the radar detectability of small-size objects is proven. The improved target detectability with the proposed discrimination algorithms is estimated theoretically. The simulated results are compared with the full-scale experiments.
