Excitation of Microwave Oscillation in Magnetron with Cold Secondary-Emission Cathode by Injecting a Microwave Signal

Abstract


This paper presents the results of experimental research of excitation of microwave oscillation in magnetrons with a cold secondary-emission cathode by injecting a microwave signal. The 8-mm wavelength magnetron with output power about 30 kW was under research. The excitation of the microwave oscillation depending on the parameters of an external microwave signal was examined. It is shown that excitation of the microwave oscillation has a place when external signal power is about 500 W.
