ELECTROMAGNETIC EXCITATION OF BICONE FORMED BY SEMI-INFINITE AND FINITE TRANCATED CONICAL SURFACES
Abstract
The problem of axial-symmetric electromagnetic wave diffraction
by a perfectly conducting bi-conical surface with edges
is solved rigorously using mode matching and analytical regularization
techniques. The ring source of magnetic current is taken
for electromagnetic waves excitation. To find the unknown expansion
coefficients, the infinite systems of linear algebraic equation
of second kind, which allow reduction for arbitrary parameters,
are obtained. The effect of cone length influences for
far field patterns formation is analyzed. Comparison with the
known results is provided in particular cases.
