NEAR-TO-FAR ZONE TRANSITION IN A TWO-POINT WAVE SCATTERING BY A STATISTICALLY ROUGH SURFACE
Abstract
For a case of two-point wave scattering by a statistically rough
surface, the asymtotics of double integrals of oscillating functions
that determine the time correlation function of the scattered
field are found. For nondegenerate scattering (hessian of
phase is other than zero) the method of stationary phase has
been used for calculations. For degenerate scattering (hessian of
phase is zero) the combined method has been applied, namely,
the method of stationary phase for one variable, and the Fraunhofer
approximation for another variable. The correlation with
the results known from literature has been established.
