Abstract

The possibilities of planetary surface images matching in case of reconstruction of this surface relief are discussed. The images were assumed to be obtained under different observation conditions. The new matching algorithm using intermediate-reconstructed reliefs is proposed. Its efficiency under great difference of illumination angles is shown with the computer experiment.

Key words: surface relief reconstruction, photoclinometric method, images matching, illumination angles difference
