Radar Contrast of the Wind Ripples on the Sea Waves of Seismic Origin
Abstract
The problem for radar contrast of wind waves in the short gravity and capillary-gravity ranges at the sea surface that is perturbed by a seismic origin wave is solved. For radar sensing by waves with lengths of 3 and 5.66 cm, the dependence of the radar contrasts from seismic wave parameters and the sea depth is investigated. The possibility for reliable radar detection of a sea seismic wave with very small amplitude in the initial stage of its development is shown.
