Two-Frequency Observations of Six Pulsars Using UTR-2 and GEETEE Radio Telescopes
Abstract
Six pulsars (В0809+74, В0823+26, В0834+06, В0943+10, В0950+08, and В1133+16) were observed simultaneously and quasi-simultaneously at the frequencies of 23.7 and 34.5 MHz (UTR-2 and GEETEE radio telescopes, respectively). For all said pulsars, anomalous intensities were detected which peak flux densities exceed analogous parameter for average profiles by factors of 20 to 1000. The analysis of the results obtained allows to assume that anomalous intensity pulses may have a relatively narrow generation mechanism in the low frequency range. The pulse activities of the three simultaneously observed pulsars (B0823+26, B0943+10, and B1133+16) have no correlation at the corresponding time intervals. Anomalous intensity pulses are essentially narrower than the average profiles for all pulsars observed in this observation cycle. Practically, the energy properties of these pulses are similar to those of so-called giant pulses, which were detected for millisecond pulsars earlier.
