Surface Wave Excitation of a Two-Element Phased Array of Rectangular Waveguides
Abstract
Response characteristics of a two-dimensional periodic waveguide phased array whose period consists of two rectangular waveguides of different cross-sections are calculated. The array is excited by the surface wave of a flat waveguide being a singly metal-covered dielectric slab. The control of antenna amplitude-frequency response is shown possible by changing the length of waveguide channels and the position of centers of waveguide cells within the array aperture.
