Some Features of Microwave Backscatter by Hydrodynamic Formations of Surface Objects

Abstract


Some experimental characteristics of the X–band wave backscatter by hydrodynamic formations of surface objects are considered. The ship waves falling are shown to contribute mostly to the signal scattered by hydrodynamic formations. The Doppler spectra of the signals reflected from different moving surface objects are obtained, the dependence of the spectral characteristics on the surface object type, speed and aspect angle is shown.
