Abstract


Active and passive methods employing the spectral analysis of the statistical features of the envelope amplitudes of the backscattered radio signals and radio interferences in the frequency range of 2 to 6 MHz are suggested for probing quasi-periodic processes (wave disturbances) in the mesosphere. The theoretical grounds for the methods and the computer simulation data are presented.
