On Increasing of Stability of HEMT Low Noise Amplifiers

Abstract

A method for increasing the stability of HEMT amplifier is described. It is based on direct cascading together with a local feedback. The possibility of preventing the parasitic oscillations out of the amplifier operation band without sacrificing its noise characteristics was confirmed both theoretically and experimentally. The efficiency of the approach suggested was demonstrated with broadband (1ё2 octave) ultra-LNA.
