Abstract

Temporal variations in the amplitude and Doppler shift of frequency observed over four radio circuits during the partial (0.8 magnitude) solar eclipse in Central Europe are described. An appreciable widening of the Doppler spectra and alternating Doppler shifted frequency variations have been revealed to be due to the eclipse. The amplitude variations due to the eclipse were insignificant. Agreement between the measurements and the calculations of the effects is good.
